Vir-Jean Louise Locke Obituary (1925

Vir-Jean Locke, 87, of Tucson, Arizona, passed quietly and went to be with Jesus Christ her Savior, February 1, 2013 in Tucson. Vir-Jean Louise was born July 2, 1925 in Tyrone, Oklahoma, the daughter of Virgil Badge and LaVetta Humble Wadley. She grew up in Tyrone, attended school and graduated from Tyrone High School with the Class of 1943. She was united in marriage to Richard Lloyd Locke in Tyrone on May 1, 1945. They spent 67 wonderful years together. After Richard returned from the Navy they made their home in Russell, Kansas and after retirement moved to Tucson, Arizona where they have lived for twenty-six years. Vir-Jean enjoyed cooking, sewing and playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Don Wadley and son in law Phil Wright. Survivors include her husband of the home; two daughters, Deborah Dreier of Somerset, California and Rhonda Wright of Anchorage, Alaska; one sister, Glenna Gamble of Denver, Colorado; sister in law, Joyce Wadley of Tyrone, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Dee-Anna Dreier, Stephanie Wright and Philip Wright and his wife Mae; three great grandchildren, Austen, Benjamin and Ryder and a host of family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February, 8, 2013 at the Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker with Brother Jim Roebuck officiating. Interment will be in the Tyrone Cemetery directed by Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in Hooker, Oklahoma.
