Michael Reed

Michael Eugene Reed, 69, a longtime resident of Beaver, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Ochiltree Hospital in Perryton, Texas.

Michael was born on June 3, 1957, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, to Howard Junior and Wilma Genie (Ratliff) Reed. He attended several schools throughout the Oklahoma during his formative years, earned his GED, and, at the age of 18, enlisted in the United States Army.

Michael proudly served his country in the Army from 1975 to 1979. He was an auto mechanic by trade and had a remarkable ability to fix just about anything.

Outside of work, Michael enjoyed riding his old Harley motorcycle, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Junior and Wilma Genie (Ratliff) Reed; wife, Barbara Reed; son, Troy Bohlander; granddaughter, Leilani Reed; sisters, Bev Freeman and Ruth Hawkins; and sister-in-law, Sharon Davis.

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Harley Reed of Warrenton, Georgia; brothers, Rusty Davis of Ponca City, Oklahoma; Joe Davis and wife, Lori, of Beaver, OK; and Henry Davis and wife, Valerie, of Beaver, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ethan Dees, Kalea Reed, and Makoa Reed; and a host of extended family members and friends.
