Glennetta Cooper Obituary (1935

Glennetta Beatrice (Randle) Cooper, 88-year-old Tyrone, Oklahoma resident passed away April 13, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Glennetta Randle was born September 11, 1935, southeast of Rolla, Kansas. She was the oldest daughter of Glen and Thelma (Dixon) Randle. She attended and graduated from Rolla Public Schools. On July 29, 1952, she married John (Jack) Cooper. They eventually made their home in Tyrone. She was a homemaker. She was also a babysitter for some of the Tyrone school teachers. Glennetta was a seamstress, sewing dresses, prom dresses and cheerleading outfits for the girls. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and especially spoiling her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson: Kevin Stevens, one granddaughter Kloe Cabela Stevens, one son in law Alan Sherrill and two sisters: Nina Henson and Vivian Quimby. Survivors include her husband of 71 years Jack Cooper, three daughters: Beth and Jerry Shilling of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Jackie and Lloyd Stevens of Tyrone, Oklahoma, and Tammie Sherrill of Tyrone, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Jason and Kara Shilling, Brooke and Jay Caffey, Rob and Lindsay Stevens, Ryan and Lindsay Sherrill, Tyler Sherrill and Rachel Vangieson, great-grandchildren Evan and Karson Shilling, Caden Cruz, Macie Caffey, Kaysen, Havynn, Ember and Hartley Stevens, Camden and Carter Sherrill, one sister: Annetta Dirks, one brother Randy and Gonza Randle. Celebration of life and graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Tyrone Cemetery in Tyrone Oklahoma.
